Kataneno is about 120km E-NE from Windhoek's international airport. It is in a flat area also suitable for hunters who have problems in mountainous regions. There are no game proof fences, thus animals can roam freely.
Your host and master guide will guide you in an ethical and efficient way and share with you his hunting experience and knowledge of the nature.

Hunting, with rifle or bow, is taking place mainly at Kataneno, the 18 000ha (about 43 000 acres) family farm and on a neighboring 15000h (about 37000 acres), thus on approximately 33000 hectares (80000 acres). For some species, such as eland, we drive to a concession farm, where we were successful with good trophies. A considerable percentage of the trophies taken are of record category, i.e. worthy for the S.C.I. record book. Both at Kataneno and on the concession farms you will be guided by your host. However, if more than one guide is needed another guide is available.

Hunting season Feb. 1st - Nov. 30th.

With our various types of hunting programs we offer a large variety of GAME SPECIES:
Leopard, cheetah, Cape eland, kudu, oryx, hartebeest, blue wildebeest, black wildebeest, springbok, steenbok, blesbok, warthog, Hartman's zebra, klipspringer, waterbuck, impala, Burchell's zebra, spotted hyena, caracal, jackal, baboon, ostrich.
As well as: Egyptian goose, sand grouse, francolin, guinea fowl, pigeon, dove.

Wounded animals will be searched for an appropriate time and every effort will be done to recover them; if not found, like everywhere, they are considered as killed and the trophy fee is due.

Firearms and Ammunition:

Minimum caliber: 7mm;
40 cartridges
A document attesting the ownership is necessary for the temporary importation at Windhoek airport (and usually also at return in the home country).

For hunters who do not wish to bring their own firearms, or who do not have a rifle powerful enough for such large and heavy game as for instance an eland bull (which is heavier than a Cape buffalo), a cal.375 H. & H. can be rented from us. Further adequate rifles can be rented in Windhoek. If you give us notice beforehand, we can reserve such a rifle in time and it will await you with ammunition (at cost) at your arrival (rental fee/day 15€ , ammunition 4€ /round).
If you bring your own firearm, it is recommended to bring ammunition loaded with premium bullets designed for deep penetration.
