RIFLE AND BOW HUNTS

With Kataneno Hunt you can hunt on over 18000ha (about 43000 acres) + large concession areas. We even extended our hunting area to a neighboring 15000ha, making a vast territory of 33000ha (nearly 80000 acres) with plenty of game and a secondary hunting camp. (To this are to be added the other concession farms).
In addition to plains game, such as kudu, oryx gemsbok, Cape (red) hartebeest, springbuck, blue (brindled) and white tailed (black) wildebeest, Cape eland, mountain (Hartman's) zebra, plains (Burchell's) zebra, impala, steenbok, as well warthog, caracal, jackal and if time permits, game birds (sandgrouse, guinea fowl, pigeon and dove). There is a chance on cheetah!
With Kataneno you can have either a very pleasant and successful "no-surprise package hunt", even a special leopard hunt, or an "à la carte" safari for a very reasonable fee.

If you are a bow hunter, from August to November such possibility also exists.
It is also possible to book some additional days after a package (at a daily fee of 255. -€) to hunt some species not included in the package such as blue and black wildebeest, springbuck, Cape eland, etc... either at Kataneno itself or on one of our concession farms.
If a hunter chooses the package hunts, Kataneno's comprehensive Plains Game Extravaganza, Kataneno Savannah, Kataneno Debut Hunt, Leopard Hunt, or Haakiesdoorn Problem Animal Control programs, a visit to Windhoek, Namibia's capital city is also included.
The hunt follows the unwritten rules of ethics. It can of course be adapted to the hunters' preferences and physical capabilities, as a stand hunt, or stalking. It can also be done by spotting game from the hunting car and approach it on foot.

On additional non hunting days, BOAT/FISHING trips and/or HUNT for CAPE FUR SEAL BULLS can also be organized.

When arriving for your safari with Kataneno hunti, you will be welcomed at the international airport and at the end of your stay you will either be assisted to get smoothly through checking-in for the departure to your country or transferred to Windhoek for adjoining activities.
If you wish, your safari can also be combined with a wonderful family vacation at most reasonable prices. Namibia is a country of harsh beauty, with astounding vistas and rich wildlife. Etosha National Park, one of Africa's largest, is the size of New Jersey. You can see there some animals, which do not exist in the usual hunting areas, such as elephant, rhinoceros, lion, etc. Also in Namibia you can find some of the last authentic nomads of Africa. There are in addition many more touristic destinations.

We shall gladly advise our guests, who wish to extend their visit to Namibia with a touristic trip after the hunt, for the choice of itineraries and help with reservations both for car hire and overnight stops, as hotel facilities are often quite far from each other. Also with reservations in national parks, which are often fully booked long months in advance. Possibly even a complete tour with one of our own cars can be arranged, guided by your host's father, who has an intimate knowledge of the country, its people and wildlife.
